I Just Have to Effervesce

I thanked Jill and Tevya once, but I have to go into a little more depth on just how wonderful all of what they did is, because it will tell you some things that you may or may not have know about me.

First of all, I love the colors and style of the template. I love the colors and I love paisleys. In seventh grade my mom and I made a vest out of paisley fabric that I wore in my school picture. I know you're all very sad that I don't have a copy of that picture to post. And hey, Darcie, Paisley is a pretty cool name! I also love Tanzie. But anyway...

The title block is a French bulletin board which is cool because I've always loved all things French. I studied French in high school and college, and before I got married I visited France as part of a Humanities tour of Europe. We visited England, France Germany, Austria, Italy and Greece.

The playlist was also very thoughtfully selected. Harry Connick Jr. is one of my all time favorite musicians, and so are Michael Buble and James Taylor. James Taylor was actually the only music I could listen to while I was in labor with Kelsie that didn't grate on my nerves. The 'Danny boy song is special because it's the basis of Griffin's lullaby. Kelsie's lullaby is based off of 'The Green Grass Grew all Around'. Lauren's hasn't quite come to me yet, but it will in time.

The High School Musical song in on there because it's kind of Kelsie and I's thing. We like to watch it together. And rock out to the songs. In the car, in the livingroom... We enjoy it. This year my friends threw a High School Musical Two birthday party for me. Kelsie and I loved it! I think they are really pushing it, doing a third one, but I'll still be watching it!

The Jack Johnson song reminds me of a long trip through San Francisco with Shaina and her family when we were trying to find the zoo. Thank goodness Jill let us borrow that CD for the trip. It kept our attitude positive and saved our sanity. Last but most certainly not least, 'The Way I Am' is the song that Kelsie sang to Jill and Tev at their wedding open house.

I also really love the pictures of the kids they added. I finally have those pictures up in my living room (they were taken this fall at JC Penney's) and I just love them. I've been working on my living room lately, and I think I'll post some pictures of what I've done. We're just renting so I haven't done anything great with paint or drapes, but I've finally got some stuff up on the walls and on display ledges. Think birds, family, and sage green, barn red, and butter yellow.

So once again, Jill and Tev, I really love it- and I love you guys for the time and thought you put into my makeover! Thank you!

I love your new look and loved this post. It was fun to read because it just sounded like you! Very fun music and like what you're doing with your house! Good work! ( by the way, each of your kids have thier own lullaby? What a neat idea!)
