My Cousin's wife posted this on her blog and I just think it's the most adorable idea ever! The head is half a head of lettuce with olives for the eyes and nose, and carrots as the mouth. The bones and ribs are breadsticks, and the 'blood and guts' is a big pot of spaghetti! And it's all just laid out on top of the table! She says they chopped the head up for their salad that night! Super fun! The other great thing she did is dinner in a pumpkin. It looks like a really great idea, and it's gotten great reviews! I'll probably make it later this week, so I'll let you know how it goes over with my family.
I know it's almost too late to do this year, but at the very least you'll want to keep these for next year.

It took a bit of investigation for me to figure out who dippyrooroo was, but I am so glad to know you now! This is a great medium to stay connected. I love your ideas for Halloween, but I am just emerging from first trimester illness and haven't reached my creative peak yet. But thanks to Pres. Utchdorf's talk I'm trying.
