Mommy Tag

I tag all the mommies!

1. Typically what time do you wake up??

I wake up over and over again all night, but I don't usually get about of bed till about 8:30.

2. On a good night what time are your kids in bed? 8 o'clock. Sometimes we are more consistent than other times. Lately it's been kind of bad!

3.How long have you been a mommy?6 years

4.How old were you when you became a mommy?24

5.What is your favorite kids tv show/movie? Charlie and Lola

6.What is your least favorite kids show? Back to the Barnyard. Boy cows do not have udders!!!!

7. What are your kids 'favorite' chores? They've been pretty good lately at brining out the dirty clothes and helping with dishes. Their favorite thing though, is to help cook!

8.What is your favorite meal to cook? Lately it's stuffed shells. It's really easy and tasty and it looks a little fancy. Or the Mexican food that my friend Patty taught me to cook.

9.What is the meal you cook most often? Mac and cheese for lunch and probably Sour cream noodle bake for dinner. Or Papa Murphys. ;)

10.What is your kids favorite meal? They like meat! They are carnivores like their dad!

11.What is your favorite thing your husband does with your kids? I love it when he will take the kids outside to wrestle around! Sometimes the noise inside the house just gets to be too much!

12.What are five things that make you smile when being a mom?
1. When they are kind to each other
2. Watching them all caught up in their imaginary games
3. big loves
4. Hearing them pray and watching their little testimonies grow
5. Seeing them trying to understand this crazy grown up world!

13.If you could take your kids anywhere, where would it be? To somewhere like Sea World where they could interact with the animals.

14.When was the last time you went somewhere without your kids? I wish I could say this was a more regular occurrence, but the last time we were without the kids we went to the temple with my parents.

15.What is your favorite pass time activity to do with your kids? I really love baking with my kids. Or going on picnics, even in out back yard. Or washing the car.

16.Name one thing you said you would never do as a mom? Ignore my kids when they were trying to ask me something. It made me crazy when my mom would do that! But I've come to understand that sometimes I just don't even have the energy to respond to every single question. I wish I could, but all their noise just makes me crazy enough that it's better if I just ignore it for a little bit.

17. What is your favorite quality your mom has? My mom was great at setting boundaries and teaching principles and also at letting us be self motivated.

18.What is your advice for new moms? Be kind to yourself. And know that you have the most important job in the world.

19.What is the scariest or most heartbreaking moment as a mom? The scariest is not knowing where they are. The most heartbreaking is when they don't feel like they belong. Or when they are hurting each other. I'm sure the kinds of heartbreak I'll experience will evolve as the kids get older too.

20.What is your most joyful moment of being a mom? I think it's when you find out you're pregnant, after months and months of trying. And then when you give birth and you finally get to see this perfect little person face to face. There's lots of joy after that too, but those have been the moments for me when it's been most intense.

21. When was the last time you were told 'I love you' by one of your kids? My little Griffin is so good at telling me all the time, and at totally random times. I'm sad to say that Kelsie, I guess because she's a little older now, doesn't say it as much as she used to. I guess I have to think if maybe I'm not saying it to her as often as I used to. And I can't wait till Lauren is old enough to say it to me. But I see it in her eyes all the time.
