Coming in September...

I went to my first baby doctor apt. today and my official due date is Sept. 22nd- although they didn't do an ultra sound or anything, so I don't know why I had to wait for them to look at the calendar, I'm pretty sure I could have done that on my own! It was a long and boring visit (two hours! of boring movie and paperwork), but it was really fun to hear the little whoosh-whoosh of the baby's heartbeat! And the best part was... no twins! Whahoo!
I cried when they drew my blood, which I haven't done for a while, but I think it had a lot to do with sitting there for so long without anything to eat! James, of course, had 'soda' in the car, and after I brought my blood sugar level up a bit I felt much better!
They don't do ultra sounds at this office (unless there's a concern) till the 20th week. We've always waited to find out whether the baby was a boy or a girl till they were born, but I think this time we're going to find out. I just feel like I've had enough anxiety lately! Now is the season for some careful planning and preparation!
Some of you asked how I've been feeling, and I'm doing really well now, thanks! I was really tired and nauseous in the beginning, which was tough since we were trying to get unpacked and get the house set up, but I seem to be pretty well past the worst of it for now, and I'm trying to get caught back up with everything! In the meantime, the kids have been keeping me entertained. Here's a example from today...

Me: "I sure like you Griffin. I'm so glad you're my boy."
Griffin: "And I'm glad you're my mom and you are nice to me and not a bully mom. If you were a bully mom you wouldn't sit next to me in church, and you would always give me wedgies, and you wouldn't fix me things to eat. Cuz that's what bully moms do."

He's so dang cute.

Congrats! We are excited for you guys. I'm glad you're feeling better . . . that must have been tough (a good tough) feeling sick and moving.

And I'm glad you're not a bully mom too :)

YEAAAHHH for you! I'm so glad to hear how life is for the Sagen family. What a few months! Congratulations.

PS.Wow, I'm relieved. I was feeling a bit like a "bully mom" this morning, but now I can confirm this is not so. No wedgies here.

Wow. I'm so glad that bully moms don't really exist. What a terrible thing to have happen to a kid!
Happy for you with the pregnancy. There is a time to prepare, buy things on sale...make things that are gender specific. It's fun knowing, and fun having a surprise. It's nice to change things up a bit.

So that's why you wanted to know about the double joggind stroller. I guess I'm a bit slow, but congratulations!
