Does this place seem familliar to you?

If you are part of my immediate family, I think it should. James brought home this puzzle for me, and it looks so much like the old farm where I grew up! Like you're looking down from the top corner of the old pasture. My parents house should be just out of the picture to the left. You could almost believe that there used to be a pond down there. Startling, isn't it?

Yeah, that is kind of crazy. It makes you realize just how picturesque our childhood stomping grounds really were. If I remember right the picture would have been taken from a spot that had a this patch of young trees that we tried to make a fort out of. Well, what didn't we try to make a fort out of... :)

That is totally crazy! It was probably taken from the seat of the tractor we had driven up the hill.

That does look like the same area! Cool.

What?!? How did I live with you 8 months and not realize you lived on a farm?

Well, by the time I was in college, most of the farm was sold off into four separate parcels and people built homes on it. And my Dad was never a professional farmer. He grew up a farm boy, and wanted us to have some of that same experience. I think we stopped having farm animals pretty much when I was in early high school? It's hard to remember for sure, because the cows were more Spencer's thing. Actually, I'm remembering something about Spencer having goats after I went to school... It's hard to keep track of Spencer's life. He also shot a badger at the place that the picture would have been taken from if that were actually our farm. And I remember bringing hamburger from home in white butcher paper, and D'Lonna being so upset that I would eat a cow that I knew. I told her, "D'Lonna, if you knew that cow, you'd want to eat it too!"
